In 1996, we started bringing soft serve and hand dipped ice cream to events in Richmond on a customized truck called The LYS Express.  We catered hundreds of events, from many home and school events to The Tour Du Pont bike race. 

In 2005, Tropical Trolley was formed, renting frozen drink machines, tiki bars and ice cream equipment for home, office and business events in Richmond and surrounding areas. A year later we expanded the operation to the Northern Virginia/Washington D.C. area. 

In 2007 we added our karaoke systems. 

Tropical Trolley has built a stellar reputation with schools, offices and individual families by providing top quality equipment and dependable service.  Our customer retention rate is high, and a great many of our new customers come from customer referrals.
